Have you ever stared through a rain-washed window pane as the water and mist shroud and bend the images outside, changing shapes and muting colors like a watercolor painting? The Painted Woodland series evokes that feeling.  

Here I have used intentional camera movement to convey the most basic of elements in woodlands across the United States: color and form.
