The Feminine Landscape
An ongoing project that is near and dear to me, The Feminine Landscape is an expressive series that portrays women in dramatic natural settings as an exploration of my own experience of place. Personal themes represented in the collection include solitude and isolation, shelter, enlightenment, confidence, belonging and marginality, fear and curiosity. The images are always made on my landscape photography excursions which are typically a solo affair, and so I am often the figure in the scene. Occasionally, though, a friend will accompany me and model for me.
